How long is the procedure?

The whole procedure should be around 2.5 hours, as it is a 3 step process. The first part of the procedure is the consultation.. We work together to figure out the right shape for your eyes and face, the right color, how dark you like it, style of brows (straight, angled, arched, rounded, thick, thin, etc.). We will keep figuring this out until you are completely satisfied the shape. Then we will numb you after we do the quick outline, so that you will feel minimum discomfort during procedure (most don't feel anything at all). Lastly, the procedure itself will vary from different skin types, 1-1.5 hours.

Does it hurt?

For most people and from our experience, no. However, pain tolerance depends on the person, and we do our very best to numb the area beforehand. We do 2 topical numbing sessions, and use both a numbing cream and gel.

How long will they last?

This question is tricky because it varies person to person. Each individuals' skin is different along with their life-style, health, and daily activities. We cannot predict how long it will last exactly but give a rough estimate from 1-5 years. It is highly recommended to get a retouch annually to maintain the colors integrity.

When will they heal? Am I able to go to work the next day?

Your brows should heal in about a week! After they heal, the color can fade up to 60% and should be 20-30% thinner.

Yes, most clients are able to go to work the next day without any discomfort.

Am I able to workout after the procedure?

No, you should wait until after your eyebrows have healed to ensure the pigmentation does not get affected. In addition, waiting a week after ensures less risk of infection and complications.

What if I don't like the shape?

We will not proceed with the procedure until you are completely satisfied with the shape! We promise!

Am I able to wear make-up after it is healed?

No, you should wait until after your eyebrows have healed to ensure less risk of infection and complications.

Do I have to come back for a retouch?

No, this decision is up to you. It is highly recommended to retouch any spots that didn't retain pigments.

If I had my eyebrows done by another artist, is it still considered a retouch?

If this is your first visit with CC Cosmetics, it will be considered a new procedure.

What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are a revolutionary way to add natural looking length and volume to your lashes. They are healthy and do not harm your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions come in various lengths and thickness, which will allow your lash artist to create the perfect lashes just for you. Lash extensions are not strip lashes or cluster lashes. They are individual lashes meticulously and carefully placed on each natural lash, one by one.

What is the application process like? How long does it take?

Your eyelash extension appointment should be very relaxing as your eyes with be closed a majority of the time. Coming into our cozy studio, most clients even take this time to take a quick nap. We play soothing music and have you lay down on your back on a comfortable massage bed with a blanket and pillow. This process can take from 1 hour up to 2.5 hours, depending on which style, set, and technique you choose. Please take a look at our pricing menu for service times.

What is the difference between classic lashes and volume lashes?

Classic lashes are thicker single lashes attached to a natural lash (1 to 1). Classic lashes are best for clients with full lashes but not enough curl and length.

Volume lashes however are very thin lashes, that are hand-made into "fans" of 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 etc., and put on a natural lash. Volume lashes are perfect for the clients who do not have many natural lashes. Volume lashes have multiple thin lashes onto one natural lash, which will be able to create and add the volume needed.

Mega-volume lashes are even thinner than volume lashes. They are so thin that we are able to put up to 20 lashes on a natural fan. Mega-volume lashes can be for clients who have a lot of natural lashes and want a dense full look, or for the lashes to last longer, or feel softer. They are also best for clients who have sparse or weak lashes as it will be able to carry the weight of these lashes better while maintaining a full look.

CLASSIC: One thick lash put onto one lash vs VOLUME: Multiple thin lashes are put onto one lash vs MEGA-VOLUME: Even more lashes and even thinner lashes spread into a bigger fan, onto one lash (but is lighter than both classic and volume

Which lash set do I choose? What is the difference?

Here at CC Cosmetics, we have a light, regular, and full set for all 3 techniques: classic, volume, & mega-volume.

Lights sets = 50% coverage which means half of your lashes has an extension.

These are best for quick events that you will need lashes for and don't mind that they won't last long (about 2 weeks.) These sets are MEANT to not last long as only half of your lashes are lashed!

GOOD for a quick weekend trip or wedding.

BAD for long trips or every day (you will need to come back often for fills)

Regular sets - 75% coverage which means 75% of your lashes has an extension.

These are the best if you want your lashes to last long but don't want them to look too full! These sets will last you 3-4 weeks depending on personal care and hygiene.

GOOD for vacations and everyday use.

Full sets - 90-100% coverage which means we lash almost every single one of your lashes.

These are the fullest you can get your lashes as we lash almost every single one of your lashes. These will last you the longest and is best for people who shed faster as well as sleep on their face, have oily skin, or do anything that may affect retention.

BEST for long vacations or for the busy bee's who don't have time to come back for frequent fills, or just like the fuller look!

ON AVERAGE, 10-15% of your lashes will shed weekly naturally.

If you start with 100% coverage, after 1 week you will have about 85-90%, after 2 weeks about 70-85%, after 3 weeks about 55-65%

If you start with just 50% coverage, after 1 week you will have about 35-40% coverage, after 2 weeks about 20-30% coverage. Your lashes will look very sparse! This is why light sets aren't meant to last very long :)

Can I get my eyelashes wet after the service?

Yes, you can! You can shower and wash your face-- just try to not have the water directly hit the lashes, but around your eyes. We also suggest waiting 24-48 hours to let the glue properly cure because submerging into water, using a sauna or steam room may affect retention.

Will my natural eyelashes fall out?

This is a tricky question as the answer is yes and no. Your natural eyelashes will fall out, but NOT from the extensions. Your natural lashes have a life cycle of 4-6 weeks. Whenever your natural lashes fall out, is when your lash extensions should fall out. :) It is absolutely healthy and normal for your lashes to grow, as it is to get a touch-up for your hair roots and fill for your nails.

Am I allowed to wear mascara?
Yes, you can wear mascara as long as they are not waterproof or oil-based (waterproof mascara has oil in it, which will weaken the bond of the lash glue). HOWEVER, it is highly NOT recommended to wear mascara at all-- removing the mascara tends to rub and tug on the extensions. Since it is quite difficult to clean the mascara, there also tends to be a lot of mascara build up which will affect retention.  Most people end up not wearing mascara once they get lash extensions because they are able to achieve the length and volume they desire :)

Do they hurt?
Of course not! If done correctly, lash extensions should not hurt! At all! If they are, you should seek your lash technician for a removal to maintain your natural lash health and growth.

Lash extensions should have complete isolation per lash and no clumps of glue. If this occurs, the glue will tug on multiple lashes, which might become painful. There will be many lash artists who can do lash extensions, but might not be applying them correctly.

Be careful and do your research before choosing a lash artist. Look at close-up before and after pictures.

How is maintenance for lash extensions? How long do they last?
Lashes should be cleansed daily (with water and mild cleanser) to keep the retention strong. A disposable wand is given to you after your appointment so that you can brush your lashes after a shower. Lashes generally require a refill every 2-4 weeks.

Why do I need fills?

What is a lash lift?
Lash lifts curl your natural lashes using safe chemicals (like how it would look if you used a lash curler).

How long do they last?

Lash lifts last as long as your natural lash cycle. They won't ever lose it's curl, they just fall off with your natural lash shedding cycle and the new lash that grows back will be straight.

How often can I get them?

We suggest getting them every 4-6 weeks. This also depends on how fast your lashes shed. If you have more than 50% of your lashes curled, it is best to wait so that your curled lashes don't get over processed.

Can I get them wet? Wear make-up?

We recommend waiting 24-48 hours before getting the lashes wet. You could still wash your face and shower, you just don't have to heavily submerge into water to allow the chemicals to properly set your lashes.

As for make-up, you can wear make-up normally after 24-48 hours :)

When would I book a facial?
It is best to book a facial on a monthly basis to upkeep your skincare routine, not just when you are having skin concerns and issues. :) Skincare requires commitment and is not a one-time thing. You will need to be patient and understand that we will work together to reach your skin goals, but it doesn't happen overnight!

 Which facial do I book?

If you are unsure of what facial to book as well as what skin-type you have, it is best to book a customized facial. All facials come with a skin consultation. However, for the customized facial you will have a complete skin routine tailored just for you :)
